Work is accepted only after scope, availability, access, safety requirements and rates are agreed. Specialist, licensed or hazardous tasks are considered only where the necessary competence, authorisations and insurance are in place.

This is a practical summary of how I accept and carry out work. The specific job, price and any additional terms must be confirmed in writing before the booking is accepted.
Scope, price & availability
No job is confirmed until the task, location, date, hours, deliverables, call-out or hourly rate, travel costs and payment terms have been agreed in writing. Enquiries are not a guarantee of availability or acceptance.
Safe access & information
The client must accurately explain the task and known hazards, arrange required site access and induction, and identify applicable site rules, supervision and authorisations. I may decline or stop work if conditions appear unsafe or differ materially from what was agreed.
Equipment & specialist tasks
I only accept tasks within my competence, training, authorisations and insurance. Forklifts, machinery, hazardous materials, hot work and other specialist activities must be specifically agreed in advance. Client-provided equipment and PPE must be suitable and safe to use.
Delays, cancellations & extras
Changes to duties, hours or workload need agreement before extra work proceeds. Any minimum booking, waiting-time, cancellation, travel or additional-hours charges will be stated in the written quote or booking confirmation.
Invoices & payment
The quote or booking confirmation will state the agreed rate, applicable expenses, invoice arrangements and payment deadline. Please raise any invoice query promptly and provide the job reference where available.
Damage, incidents & liability
Any incident, damage, near miss or unsafe condition should be reported promptly to the site contact. Responsibility and any applicable liability limits are governed by the written agreement and applicable law. Nothing here excludes or limits liability where the law does not permit it.
